Due to inclement weather, the 9 a.m. service for Sunday, Jan. 20 has been cancelled. We will have one morning service at 10:45 a.m. as road conditions improve.

A WEEKEND OF FUN, SERVICE, AND GROWTH

Every year, our student ministry hosts D-Now Weekend for students in middle school and high school. “D-Now” is short for “Disciple Now,” and is full of Bible teaching, small groups, food, service projects, and late night activities. D-Now Weekend is a youth retreat designed to be “at home,” where students will focus serving in their own hometown, church family, and local community while growing in Jesus together.
As we prepare for our 10th annual D-Now weekend on February 18-20, here are some new things we're excited about!

We will be welcoming a special guest speaker for the weekend!
Dr. Rich Brown has served in student ministry for over 35 years, in the church as a pastor, and in the classroom as a professor of youth ministry at Liberty University. Dr. Brown will be leading the teaching sessions with our students all weekend as we journey through the book of Ephesians!

Our LKC Kids Ministry will be hosting a D-Now Weekend just for kids!
The kids portion will take place in the Family Life Center with drop off beginning at 9:30 am. Doughnuts and drinks will be served! At 10 am, they begin a great day of learning about the importance of prayer, how to pray, making a prayer journal, and practicing prayer in prayer labs. A pizza lunch and afternoon movie will finish their day for pick up at 2 pm.

We will also be hosting a parent workshop during our D-Now Weekend.
The workshop will run concurrently with the kids program. It seems that, with each passing year, shepherding the hearts of our kids and teens toward the heart of God becomes more and more challenging. The Refuel and the LKC ministries at LMBC have partnered together to incorporate sessions just for parents into our D-Now Weekend. Parents are invited to join in a time of fellowship with other parents of kids and teens, food and laughter, and practical teaching from God's Word by our own Pastor Lemming, along with cultural insights from Dr. Brown.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all parents enrolled in the workshop.

For teens, we will bring back our middle and high school students' favorite weekend of the year, complete with discipleship, service projects, late night activities and hangout times! As per usual, our D-Now Weekend will begin on Friday night, January 18, and end with our worship gathering on Sunday morning, January 20. Year after year, most of our teens, when asked, list D-Now Weekend as their favorite Refuel event of the year.

Registration for parents, kids, and teens can be completed above!
