Update from the Getenah Family (Zambia)

Dear Praying friends,
MY FAMILY AND I WANT TO WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

The Year 2020 almost gone with bad happenings in the world. The COVID19 left a devastating destruction in the lives of the people in the world. In all the troubles, the whisper of the Lord that he is with us never left us. The Lord spared Zambia in many ways in 2020. Zambia has been declared the 5th safest place for COVID19 in the world. Raising the banner of “Jesus saves” in Zambia helped to spare the country.

The Lord has been good to us in the ministry. Even though most of the Deaf churches have been restricted to meet under the tree because of COVID19 and the government banned using school classrooms for church, the Lord continued saving people. Pastor Mutunda reports a total of 15 deaf got saved in Mazabuka, while Bro. Samson Daka reports 5 saved in Ndola. One of our deaf church members at the Deaf Bible Baptist Church, Martha Wakina went to be with Lord recently. The family member called me and told me that they didn’t have money to transport the body to the burial place. I offered my help in renting a light truck to bring the body to the church to conduct a church service before proceeding to the cemetery. It was the Lord’s doing, because after I preached 35 precious souls gave their life to the Lord. It always amazes me how God does the amazing.

Please continue praying for our grade 7 students. They are writing their national exams that determine their pass to the middle class. As Always we thank you for your continuous prayer and support. Thank you for being a part of this ministry.
